De M12 Data Receptacle Connector is ontwikkeld met een mannelijke, front-montage M12-kant en gestrande draden aan de aansluitzijde. Deze onbeschermde 5-pins B-gecodeerde connector is gehuisvest in een metalen grijze behuizing en ondersteunt 50 V AC / 60 V DC met een stroomsterkte van 4 A. De connector heeft verschillende kenmerken zoals PG9 draadmaat, een hoog aantal koppelingen (tot 100), en uitstekende isolatieweerstand (groter dan 10^9 Ohm). Het apparaat is vervaardigd uit hoogwaardige materialen waaronder vernikkeld CuZn voor de behuizing en PVC voor de draadisolatie. Het robuuste ontwerp zorgt voor een hoge mate van bescherming (IP65, IP67) bij correct monteren en vergrendelen in combinatie met Hirschmann / Lumberg connectoren.
