Today, on October 10th, Sustainability Day, we’d like to share an important step we’ve taken at Lumberg to reduce our environmental impact. For some time now, we’ve been using sustainable packaging materials, and we’re proud of the positive feedback we’ve received.
Why Paper Tape is the Future
You may have noticed it in your recent orders: we are now using paper tape as a replacement for traditional plastic tapes. Biodegradable and recyclable, this tape helps us drastically reduce our plastic use. With excellent adhesive strength and tear resistance, everything stays securely in place during transport. This sustainable solution has been the new standard at Lumberg for some time.
The Magic of Our New Air Cushions
Our air cushions have been in use for several weeks now, and we’re happy to see they’ve been well received. Made from extra-strong paper with a 100% biodegradable inner layer, they offer excellent protection for your products during transport. During the packing process, our shipping department fills the cushions with air, using just the right amount for your order. Like our paper tape, these cushions can be easily disposed of with paper waste.
